St Veronica's wants to provide for the growing interest in giving gifts which help those less advantaged, those who don't have, or need, the latest iPod, I-phone, plasma TV screen, etc, etc. We now have a Christmas gifting scheme. These gifts can be used for ALL occasions, as well as for Christmas.
WHAT ABOUT EXTRA EVENING STUDY CLASSES TO IMPROVE THE SCHOOL RESULTS, AND THUS THE OPPORTUNITIES, OF POOR CHILDREN?
PERHAPS A FLOCK OF CHICKENS, TO EARN A LITTLE INCOME?

St Veronica’s realised that there was a growing interest in purchasing gifts which helped those less advantaged, those who didn’t have the latest ipod, i-phone, plasma TV screen, etc, etc. We commenced a Christmas gift scheme.
We have expanded this to include gifts which can be used for ALL occasions, including Christmas.
HOW DO I BUY A GIFT?
1) Select your gift or gifts from the list below.
2) Click here to download the ORDER FORM, and fill it out.
3) Email the ORDER FORM to us at stveronica@gil.com.au (make sure to include your name and address),

4) Print, fill out, and post to us at PO Box 5098, WEST END, 4101.
5) When payment is received we will send you a gift card which you can give to the recipient. There is space for a personal message.

$20 buys an aid package of school needs for a poor child. This includes writing books, pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, erasers, etc. |

| $20 | $20 provides a month’s salary for a kindergarten teacher. The children’s parents work as firewood cutters and leave at 5.00 am for the forest. The sale of firewood helps them to survive. It is very cold. |

| $30 | An English Medium school is very sought after for its benefit to the child. Usually this is too expensive for poor parents so Sr Tresa has asked for funds to provide toys, playground equipment and other resources for her English Medium Kindergarten for poor village children. |

| $50 | Self-help groups operate on micro-credit principles. $50 will provide one family with a pair of young goats. They will rear and breed from this pair, then give half the offspring to another self-help group, thus helping many groups over time. |

| $50 | $50 buys a set of tools for a Dalit weaver. This group is considered a very lowly part of society and they earn their income with the basketweaving they make and sell. |

$50 buys a flock of 20 chickens and ducks AND the materials to build a cage to house them. This will provide the family with protein in their diet, plus earnings from the sale of surplus chickens and eggs. Can be bought separately, $25 for chicks, $25 for cage. |
| $50 | Bingiri Resettlement Housing Project consists of ten houses for slum dwellers, to give them a new start in life. They have food gardens, and they are encouraged to run small businesses, using their existing skills. $50 can provide the needed tools or utensils to run these businesses. |
